Dempsey Challenge Raises Over $1 Million to Support Cancer Patients

Binnie Media’s Maine Radio Stations, 107.5 Frank FM, 99.9 The Wolf, and 106.3 The Bone, supported the 15^th Annual Dempsey Challenge on September 23^rd in Lewiston.

The Dempsey Challenge is a run/walk/cycle event and is the flagship fundraiser for The Dempsey Center, founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. Patrick grew up in Maine, and wanted to help care for people impacted by cancer after his mother Amanda was diagnosed in 1997.

This year’s event was a great success, raising over $1 million, with nearly 200,000 participants! Oh and Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey was in attendance!

Thanks to all the participants and sponsors who gathered (in person or virtually) and rallied for this great cause, helping to make life better for cancer patients, their loved ones, care partners, and survivors…all at no cost.
