The 9th Annual “Make 12 Hours Count” Radiothon was again an event to remember, raising over $90,000 for Granite State veterans in need.

This 12 hour-broadcast (7AM-7PM) not only honored the sacrifices made by NH’s veterans and their families, but it also highlighted the challenges they face returning to civilian life. Testimonials from those served by Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services (MVS) and Veterans Count showcased how vital listener support truly is to the cause. The Radiothon featured veterans and their loved ones, Vice President Mike Pence, NH Governor Chris Sununu, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Congressman Chris Pappas, military dignitaries, and many more.

Hosted by Mike Pomp, Jack Heath, Ginger Munson, and WHXR’s Mistress Carrie. This year’s Radiothon aired on Binnie Media’s The Pulse of NH radio stations News-Talk 107.7 WTPL, 98.1 WTSN, and 107.3 WEMJ, with additional support on music stations Frank FM (WLNH-WFNQ-WBYY), 105-5 JYY, Country 93.3 The Wolf (WNHW), and 99.1 The Bone (WNNH).

“Binnie Media is honored to host Veteran’s Count NH and the Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon in our studios again this year” says the President of Binnie Media Massimo Rosati. We are tremendously proud to continue this connection that allows us to support veterans & military families through such a vital resource as Veteran’s Count. Being a local company, the Binnie Media stations, and Binnie Family Charities emphasize the importance of strengthening our communities and we are grateful for the opportunity to help those who have served our country.”
Governor Chris Sununu officially Proclaimed May 17th, 2023 as Veteran’s Count Day in the State of New Hampshire, as he has done in years past, to call attention to this great cause and organization.

Over the past eight years, the Radiothon has raised more than 1 million dollars to directly support local veterans.
The monies raised are used for an array of support services including fuel assistance, counseling, transportation support, housing, home improvements and many more of life’s unexpected burdens. We are honored to share the stories of Veteran’s Count care coordinators and their clients who offered their personal stories and expressed heartfelt thanks of how Veteran’s Count made a profound impact on their lives.

As of March, Veterans Count, the philanthropic arm of Easterseals NH and MVS, has helped over eight thousand veterans and their families. They have intervened in 128 cases of significant suicide risk and secured permanent housing for almost 2,000 homeless families. Veterans Count supports service members, veterans and their families from all eras, regardless of length of service or discharge status. Services are 100% free and 100% confidential, and $.90 of every dollar raised goes back to support local veterans. Veterans Count offers a hand up, not a handout, with the goal of self-sufficiency.
